Chambless Johnston, III, MD & Emmalea Johnston, BSN-RN, MSN, NP-C

Chambless Johnston, III, MD is a native of East Tennessee. He earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean (AUC) and completed his Internal Medicine residency at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). Dr. Johnston has worked as a hospitalist at Clinch Valley Medical Center (Richlands, VA), Indian Path Medical Center (Kingsport, TN), Franklin Woods Community Hospital (Johnson City, TN) and Johnson City Medical Center (Johnson City, TN). He also serves as the medical director.

Board Certifications include: American Board of Addiction Medicine (ASAM)

Emmalea Johnston, BSN-RN, MSN, NP-C is from Johnson City and attended East Tennessee State University for both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science in Nursing. Emmalea has previously worked in the Emergency Department at the Johnson City Medical Center and at Quillen East Tennessee State University specializing in Pediatric Neurology.

Board Certifications include: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)


Katrina Edwards, FNP-C

Katrina grew up in Unicoi County. She graduated from ETSU Cum Laude, BSN in 2006. Katie graduated from King University in 2017 with her MSN-FNP. She is also Board Certified through the AANP. She loves traveling and spending time with her family.

Anna VanEaton, LCSW

Anna has 23 years of experience in inpatient counseling and outpatient counseling. She started a intensive outpatient program working with adults that had mental health/co-occurring disorders, as well as counseling in a addiction treatment facility.  Anna has worked in private practice, along with a psychiatrist, seeing individual, couples, family and marital counseling.

Anna is passionate in working with addictions, women’s issues/trauma issues, depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem/self-worth issues.

Modalities used in counseling are, but not limited to: CBT, REBT, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Grief Counseling, EMDR techniques, Motivational Psychology, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Faith counseling.

Anna is certified in CBT and has a seminary degree.

She loves spending time with her Husband, being outdoors, serving our local Community of Jonesborough. Anna loves the Theatre, Arts, and Music. Her favorite sports teams are the Chicago Cubs and UT Football. Anna enjoys spending time exercising outdoors or in the gym.  She especially loves to be able to spend time with her little Abigail, who is 14 months old, and is her Brother's Daughter.

Anna enjoys people and their stories and sees it an honor to enter into Your story.

She is excited to be part of a Team at Restoration and Wellness/East Tennessee Recovery that is energetic, wants to serve people, and is continually thinking of ways to grow to better serve.

Michelle Arwood, LCSW

I have 13 years of experience working with children, families and individuals.  I attended East Tennessee State University for both my Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Master of Science in Social Work.

I have a passion for working with individuals who struggle with addictions. I am certified in Trauma therapy and have 11 years of experience with Crisis and Conflict Resolution.

I have lived in the area most of my life. I like to spend my spare time with my rather large family. I have 3 adult daughters and 6 grandchildren who like to keep be on my toes. I love spending time outdoors, exploring local businesses, and attending live music concerts.

I am excited to have the opportunity to work with the individuals who are part of the Restoration & Wellness family of recovery.

Alicia Thomas, LBSW

Alicia grew up in Jonesborough, TN. She graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in social work and became a licensed social worker in April of 2019. Alicia is continuing her education at Campbellsville University in the Master of Social Work program. She loves the beach and spending time with her family.

Robert Perry LPC-MHSP

Robert Perry LPC-MHSP is originally from Bend, Oregon moving to Johnson City, TN in 2001. Robert received his undergraduate degree from ETSU and his master’s degree in mental health counseling from Argosy University Nashville, graduating summa cum laude in 2012. Robert has practiced in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric, inpatient A&D, OP & IOP for criminal justice clients & DCS treatment providers, private mental health practice, NAS programs, and military veterans’ programs. Robert utilizes a wide variety of peer-reviewed counseling theories and techniques to help his clients meet their goals, believing in an individualized holistic approach rooted in a solid therapeutic relationship.

Renee D, MSW

Renee' Doyle is originally from Augusta, Ga but has been a resident of East Tennessee on and off since 1993. Miss Doyle is an Air Force Veteran with a Certification in Meteorology. Renee' earned her BA in Psychology from Tusculum College and continued on to East Tennessee State University where she earned her Master of Social Work.

Renee' has worked with Veterans through the Invest in America's Veterans Foundation since 2011, This has allowed her to work with homeless Veterans and individuals with substance abuse disorders and PTSD.

Jill, BSW

Current MSW Student

Jill is a graduate of East Tennessee State University (ETSU) with a bachelor’s degree in social work. Jill is continuing her education in the Master of Social Work program at ETSU with a concentration in drug and alcohol abuse counseling.

Prasant Akunuri, MSW, CDAC

Prasant Akunuri is originally from Nashville, TN and went to Middle Tennessee State University receiving a BA in Psychology. He moved to Johnson City in 2017 to pursue a master's degree in Social Work at East Tennessee State University. Along with this, he gained a Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling. He graduated with his degree in May 2019. He was able to do an internship at the VA with their Substance Use Program in which he learned to work with Veteran's dealing with Substance Use Disorders and Trauma. Before moving to Johnson City, he was a Patient Right's Advocate with Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute and was able to work with those from low socioeconomic backgrounds with severe mental health disorders.
